Description: 2 1/2" glazed, orange, paper-cased cartridge with rolled turnover. The head is brass. Dark buff top wad. Loaded with No. 6 lead shot.
Description: The 28 bore is a light cartridge with a load of 3/4 ounce of shot, for which light and fast handling shotguns may be built. These are popular with the young, the old and expert shots seeking an additional challenge. No. 6 shot is 2.59 mm in diameter, with 270 pellets to the ounce, and is popular for game shooting and pest control. The 'Grand Prix' brand name was introduced in March 1903, referring to a medal won in Paris in 1900, and is still in use. The markings indicate post-1925 manufacture.
