Box & 50 cartridges.
Sealed buff cardboard box with green and white label/seal printed in black but with purple stamped cartridge details, containing 50 gallery cartridges loaded with a round ball seated below the case mouth, and with wax lubricant on top.
Example of a commercial Eley cartridge box of the late 19th Century, using a generic printed label with details of the specific cartridge added later by stamping. 'Gallery' loads were for short range use, normally on indoor shooting ranges, and reduced smoke and noise by employing a very light powder charge combined with either a round ball or a light bullet.
