Sea water drips from the base of the salt water reservoir on to a black cloth. Heat from the sun warms the cloth and evaporates the water and this vapour condenses on the inside surface of the Still as small droplets. As more sea water vaporises, these droplets enlarge and roll down the inside wall to the fresh water trap at the bottom and so into the fresh water bag.
