Description
Physical description
The carrier is a green synthetic material bag with flap and a drawstring with toggle to close the top, with a handle at the bottom and a set of five pairs of D rings and lace with toggle for carriage of additional kit on outside of carrier.
The sleeping bag itself comprises three parts, a green outer with insulating material with large metal zip from waist to top and tapes at the bottom for making bag smaller, inside which a similar zipped inner bag, and finally a cloth liner, all of which are held together by tapes at various points.
History note
The sleeping bag carrier contained a hood to be worn with the sleeping bag and a large flat fabric item, presumably part of a tent. On the outside of the carrier a rubber pneumatic mattress was held in the lace-up portion.
