The whole surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH.II.DEI .GRATIA.REGINA.FID.DEF. The reverse design has at its centre a large fouled anchor supported on either side by the two Tritons each holding a trident. The whole surrounded by the legend 'ROYAL FLEET AUXILIARY FOR LONG SERVICE' . The text broken at each edge by a small branch of an oak tree with three leaves and an acorn. The initials of the designer Timothy Noad (TN) can be found at the base of the anchor. The whole design executed in high relief.
