First World War campaign medal awarded to Captain W M Langdon, 10th Battalion, The Cheshire Regiment.
Captain William Max Langdon (14 February 1889 - 21 May 1916). Younger son of Mr and Mrs Edward Langdon of Manchester. Educated at Rugby and New College Oxford, Barrister at Law, Inner Temple. Killed in action on 21 May 1916 and is buried at Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St. Eloi. Younger brother of Major G H Langdon (qv).
