First World War British service medal awarded to Captain R B Gillett (1895-1983), 2nd Battalion, The Hampshire Regiment February - June 1915. Captain Gillet took part in the famous 'landing' on Gallipoli, 25 April 1915, at V Beach from the RIVER CLYDE; he was wounded the next day during the attack on Sedd el Bahr, and evacuated back to Egypt.

Captain Gillett (1895-1983), served in the Hampshires, February-June 1915 - including the V Beach landing at Gallipoli on 25/26 April when he was wounded.
