medal with ribbon Bronze oblong-shaped medal, which is triangular-shaped at the ring to the ribbon. The obverse depicts the head and helmet of a Belgian soldier. The bottom corners have the dates 1914 and 1918. The top of the medal is decorated with the Belgian lion with oak and laurel leaves either side.The reverse has the inscription MEDAILLE COMMEMORATIVE DE LA CAMPAGNE 1914-1918 HERINNERINGS MEDAILLE VAN DEN VELDTOCHT. Above which is a crown with oak and laurel leaves either side. The ribbon is red with three light blue stripes.

Bequest under the terms of the of the will of the late Geoffrey Stephenson Pennington MM. E-C Lutyen was his father-in-law.
