Royal Naval Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal
Obverse design: King Edward VII, bust, left profile, in uniform.
Obverse text: "EDWARDUS VII REX IMPERATOR".
Reverse design: HMS Dreadnought, battleship, facing right, smoke issuing from its funnels, a flag flying from its tripod mast and another from its stern. Above and behind the battleship a cloud-filled sky and at the base of the design the text .
Reverse text: "DIUTURNE FIDELIS".
Suspender: straight bar, swivel.
Ribbon colours: dark green.
Edward VII issue RNR long service medal (possessing the first pattern ribbon) awarded to (D.1187) L Johnson.
With an obverse design (Royal effigy) by G W de Saulles and reverse by E G Gillick this medal was instituted by Admiralty Order in September 1908 for award to men of the Royal Naval Reserve after 15 years' service.
