Medal and ribbon with 1 clasp.
(SEE) OMD 187 & OMD 52.
Gordon Relief Expedition campaign medal awarded to a participant named Phillips; as portions of the rim inscription are missing recipient and unit statements are incomplete. The clasp records service in the actions of El-Teb, 29 February 1884 and Tamaai, 13 March 1884. Major Gordon (see Documentation) states that, "It is unusual to find a medal with this as a single bar". Both obverse and reverse designs are badly pitted, this is probably due to the medal being worn next to the Khedive's Star

Engraved, rim, portions of the inscription have been erased, the remainder are in sloping capitals
