German radar indicator unit, 2 inch Philips/Valvo DG7-1 cathode ray tube Gerat No. 124-4850A,
Physical description
Irregular rectnagular shaped frame of a box: one side slopes inwards. Previously painted black, now showing a lot of rust damage. Front face has visible white dial, encased in metal ring that protrudes 1.5cm. Above this is a button labelled 'grob'. There is a plaque to the top left corner.
There are two dials, circular, but with fluted edges, giving a shape like a flower. These are labelled 'dunkel' and 'Impulsbreite'.
There are two rollers set vertically, made of emtal, these are grooved for ease of turning.
there is a screw protruding, which is labelled 'zu'., with a circular arrow pointing clockwise.
There is a switch at the bottom labelled 'phase'.
On the rear face there are exposed power input/outputs, one is square with pins, two are circular and labelled 'RV12P3000.
The inner workings are exposed as the side and top panels are missing.
