Physical description
Black leather body with blued steel mounts. Topmount with rimmed mouthpiece, mouthsprings secured by three prominent dome-headed rivets front and back, and circular convex frog stud on short stem and raised circular base. Both topmount and chape are secured by a single steel staple front and back and meet the scabbard body in straight edges. Leather body, gathered and sewn along centre of back forming raised seam, tapers very gently to chape. Chape, with raised rib running length of its back - forming an extension of the body's seam, tapers to broad round tip.
