Black leather body with steel topmount and ball ferrule. Topmount is inserted in the stiffened leather body and only 17 mm of throat and rimmed mouthpiece is revealed. Mouthsprings secured by rivet through either edge. Rectangular frog loop emerges through slit in leather body approximately 24 mm below mouth. Leather body, indented with two widely spaced narrow vertical lines front and back, tapers to ferrule insert which is secured by copper wire binding (reminiscent of the Dutch practice).
