Pommel form: beaked with rounded end housing T-shaped attachment slot. Press stud, on right side, operates locking catch via internal coiled spring. Underside rounded and shaped, continuing the double curve of grips. Back flat and straight. Pommel meets grips at right angle.
Grips from: two-piece wood, retained by two steel rivets with circular washers. Underside rounded and gently shaped to hand, back flat and straight. The grip is gamaged where riveted.
Crossguard form: quillon has been removed, the lower guard being formed into a straight crosspiece tapering to a crudely rounded end. Lower guard extends approximately 26 mm below blade.
Blade form: single-edged, straight, tapering to broad rounded spear point, fullered. Back flat, fuller stops rounded.
