socket bayonet, cruciform section and screwdriver tip, for Mosin- Nagant rifle & Model 1891
Socket form: tubular socket with broad raised rear reinforce and very wide attachment slot only very slightly offset. Screw adjustable locking ring with very high bridge. Short broad neck extends from underside of socket's fore-end to merge almost immediately with angular heel of blade.
Blade form: cruciform section tapering towards 4.4mm-wide screwdriver tip. All four faces deeply fluted.
Bayonet finish: blued but worn.
Inscription: Cyrillic character resembles (in transliteration) letter N (Nicholas II?)
