Erede e continuatore di una unità CC. NN. della quale assumeva col nome titoli preclari di reputazione e di valore, durante inseguimento di
nemico agguerrito ed esperto, riaffermava tempra battagliera, sicura prestanza, saldezza militare. Dislocato in posizione fiancheggiante in
settore di delicata importanza, al primo allarme, balzava compatto contro colonne bolsceviche che tentavano di guadagnare terreno sulla
destra del Don e, in cruenti duelli, ne frenava l'urto. Successivamente, accerchiato in un caposaldo, vi resisteva intrepidamente per
alcuni giorni, sopportando perdite gravi in morti e feriti. Mentre le munizioni stavano per esaurirsi, i superstiti si facevano largo tra i
nemici con bombe a mano; rompevano il blocco e si ricongiungevano con gli altri combattenti delle posizioni vicine con inalterato spirito
offensivo e indomita volontà di riscossa.

[Gold medal of military valour – to the regimental flag of the 'Tagliamento' Carabinieri Regiment Group. Keeper and perpetrator of the
Carabinieri unit which builds a reputation of great valour, while chasing an expert and skilful enemy, they will show fighting spirit,
intimidating presence, military glory. They were assigned to a supporting position in the strategically important sector, responding to the
first alert, jumped in unison against the Bolshevik columns which were trying to make ground on the right bank of the River Don and, after
savage fighting, stopped the advance. Subsequently, after being surrounded, they bravely resisted for several days, suffering heavy losses
and deaths. While ammunition was running out, the survivors would break for the enemies using hand grenades; they broke the enemy's line
and they reunited with the other fighters in the nearby positions with unaltered attaching spirit and untamed desire for revenge. Russian
