ADOLF... VERY PLEASED
PAR
John Dope, A, wearing coloured glasses so his friends won't recognize him, decides to cash his Victory Bonds which have been furnishing
power N to make munitions to lick Hitler.
As he hands in his Bonds, electric eye B releases mechanical hand which drops Bonds into convertor machine C, turning them into cash which
Dope eagerly grabs.
Dope gaily sets off on a buying spree D. As he does, he upsets economic balance E which had been maintained as long as the amount of
purchasing power equalled the goods available to consumers.
Upsetting the economic balance starts air pressure pump F in action causing prices of available goods G to rise higher and higher, far
beyond the reach of Smith and Jones trying desperately to reach them.
In order to raise themselves to the new price level, Messrs. Smith and Jones drop their Victory Bonds H into convertor J causing more
purchasing power to flow into tank K. This causes raft on which Smith and Jones are standing to rise but not high enough to reach available
goods which keep rising in price.
Uncontrolled action of price-rise indicator L (to which is attached bottle of aspirin M for those who aren't going to feel so well over
what's coming) develops friction which is transmitted in the form of heat to the war-waging machinery N, setting fire to valuable funds
which had been keeping the machinery running.
Resultant smoke and gasses inflate a 1914-18 model balloon O which continues to rise until it is visible in all axis countries.
Dislocation of the war production machinery causes every third shell on production line P to be a dud. Gun Q which had been killing nazis
now misses every third one R. Escaping Nazi S thumbs his nose at Dope, who started all this, and presses button to start motor T. Motor
sets foot in motion which kicks Dope where it hurts most. Also releases carrier pigeon U which flies with 'Good News' note to Adolf:
'Inflation in Canada'.
