Original wartime caption: Long-Range fighters of the R.A.F. helped to pave the way to the 8th Army's desert victory by their constant "strafing" of Rommel's transport. Picture (issued 1942) shows - Flying Officer F. MacMills of California, U.S.A. who took part in a successful attack on a train, shooting up the engine and setting trucks on fire with cannon shells.
