Album of photographs, some loose prints, relating to the Royal Naval service of Surgeon Commander George Foster Braithwaite Page, serving primarily in gunboats on the Yangtze River of the China Station, prior to and during the early years of the First World War, 1914-1915.
Specific subject areas covered are: Page's journey to the China station aboard SS KHIRA including scenes 'en route' at Port Said and Suez in Egypt, Columbo in Ceylon, Port Swettenham in Penang, Singapore and Jahore in Malaya and also interior views on board SS KHIRA, of note Page's cabin and bunk.

After service in China, return journey to Britain and progressing through the Red Sea in 1915 on HMS HMALAYA, and scenes on board the passenger steamer coverted to armed merchant troopship such as the improvised swimming pool, a game of deck hockey; whilst in the Red Sea alongside SS Silver Wings and dutch merchant ships,
Officer (possibly Page) and family members on board HMS BEAUFORT c1921, scenes at the Tipnor Gas School, informal group portraits of class wearing gas masks; scenes of HMS TRIUMPH during the action at Tsingtao whilst on the East Asia Squadron, including disembarking troops for campaign alongside those of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
