Collection of modern reproduction prints covering the service of Major Roderick Macleod DSO MC, Royal Field Artillery. The collection includes pre-war group portraits of 80th Battery, Glen of Imaal, Ireland, 1912, including Lieutenant William Henry Buchanan Mirrlees, Lieutenant L Gubbins, Captain A W Bartholomew, Major M L Goldie DSO, 2nd Lieutenant Roderick Macleod, 2nd Lieutenant R B Neve, guns in action at Armentieres, December 1914, 'V' Battery, Royal Horse Artillery in action and officers dug-outs, Croix Barbée, Neuve Chapelle, March 1915, 'V' Battery position Fleurbaix, March/April 1915, transport lines near Ypres, April 1915, 'V' Battery billet Cuhem, June 1915, 'V' Battery in action, wagon lines and officers bivouacs, Martincourt Wood, August 1915, 3rd Wing Royal Flying Corps (RFC) near Corbie, Somme, January 1917 including photographs of the headquarters, accommodation and officers; Lieutenant Fennel, photographic officer, Captain R Macleod, Artillery Liaison Officer, Lieutenant Dashwood, wireless officer, Lieuenant Ralph Beuick Claud Marie Tyrel de Poix, Adjutant and vertical aerial photographs taken over Flalfemont Farm, Bapaume in April 1916, July 1916 and September 1916 that show the scale of destruction over time. Also included are photographs from Macleod's service in Italy 1918-1919 including the Piave River, the Asiago Plateau including C/241 Battery dug-outs, battery drill, the station and church, wine rations being transported, Austrian prisoners of war (POWs), Val d'Aisa, the guns of A/241 Battery and billets, Tezze d'Arzignano, Major Macleod, Tezze, Lieutenant Warhamd C/241 Battery, Tezze, 241 Brigade Royal Field Artillery Staff, Italy, a football match between C/241 Battery and the Royal Navy, Tezze, an 18 pounder gun team.
