Black and white photographs mainly relating to an unidentified French officer serving with the Chasseurs Alpins during the First World War. The photographs include trenches and fortified mine craters on the Western Front; ski training; officer protraits and what appear to be two pre-1914 photographs showing an officer and men of the 3rd Infantry Regiment and a French senior officer taking a salute. The collection also includes a photograph of prisoners being hung by the Turkish Army during the First World War and a blank German Army feldpostbrief form.
Black and white photographic prints, some with annotations handwritten in ink (in French) on the reverse. Also, one card mounted black and white print and a printed, single folded Feldpostbrief form.
