Collection covering the service of Captain Charles Adrian Brown, Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force during the First World War, mostly believed to be approximately 1917. His duties included Home Service as a delivery pilot. The collection includes photographs of pilots and airmen in aircraft and general scenes of recreation in and around Romney Marsh and Lympne including Lympne castle. The aircraft featured include a German AGO C.IV in British markings (No. 32 Squadron), Handley Page O/400, Spad S7, Bristol F.2B Fighter, Sopwith Camel, Sopwith Spad, Nieuport 17, German Albatross D II. also included are five aerial vertical photographs of the Western Front.
