AIRCRAFT AT ROYAL AIR FORCE BIRCHAM NEWTON, 1937-1938.
Vickers Vincent, S1715, on the ground at Bircham Newton, Norfolk, painted in the camouflage scheme applied to RAF aircraft during the 1938 Munich crisis. S1715 was built originally as a Vildebeest Mark I before conversion to Vincent standard. The unit to which it belonged is unknown. Behind S1715, to the left, a Type 'C' hangar is under construction while, to the right, in front of a completed Type 'C' are parked Avro Anson Mark Is of No. 220 Squadron RAF.
