THE GERMAN AIR FORCE 1914-1918: THE ENGLAND SQUADRON, 1917
This photo appeared in an English paper in 1917, and it was copied by the England Squadron. It was taken from a British Reconnaissance Aircraft from a great height, after a small scale bombing attack on the Gontrode Airfield, and shows 4 bomb holes. At the right of the large white spot is the huge balloon hangar. The black penciled frame gives evidence that British aircraft had located the Gontrade Airfield. Probably during Spring, 1918.
