4 x Bristol Hercules VI engined Avro Lancaster B. MK. II. Serial Number DS640. Early production aircraft with standard bomb-bay doors. Saw service with No. 61 Squadron, then with No. 115. Was lost during a raid on Frankfurt on the 11th April 1943.
Over two million American servicemen passed through Britain during the Second World War.
