Low-level oblique photographic-reconnaissance aerial of the of the A4 (V2) rocket assembly and launch site, under construction in a quarry at Wizernes, France, prior to the successful attack on it by No. 617 Squadron RAF on 17 July 1944. The quarry head showing the 1 million-ton concrete dome covering the underground workings with a 100-foot high hammerhead crane positioned in front of it.
