AVIATION CAREER OF SQUADRON LEADER MAHINDER SINGH PUJJI DURING AND AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR
Squadron Leader Pujji with Lady Pamela Mountbatten, daughter of Countess Mountbatten of Burma, in a glider during a visit by the Mountbattens to India after the Second World War. The photograph has been autographed by both Pamela and her mother Lady Edwina Mountbatten. Pujji was a keen glider pilot, in spite of the fact that, following his illness of 1947, he was still not technically regarded as fit to fly. He became Honorary Chief Gliding Instructor of the Rajasthan Flying Club (established in 1953).
