Six spiral bound scrap-books containing colour and greyscale prints, postcards, greetings cards, letters, typescript and manuscript documents, magazine and newspaper extracts and other ephemera collected by Lynn Watkinson of Sheffield while corresponding with a number of male pen-pals serving with the United States Forces in South Vietnam between c.1968 and 1971. Also, two press cuttings relating to Lynn and her US military pen pals an audio CD and related leaflet/programme covering a radio documentary about AFVN: The GI's Companion broadcast on 1330AM WEBY - Northwest Florida's Talk Radio (26 - 30 October and 11 November 2015. Also included are Lynn's notes for her interview as part of the broadcast a letter from the documentary's producer, Mike Bates, and list of the documentary's contents.
Also a seventh spiral bound scrap-book containing similar ephemera from Lynn's boyfriend, William A Bruce, while serving in the Royal Navy on board HMS LONDON, 1967-1968.
