Loose photographic prints, mostly of German origin. Subjects include 25-pounder Field Guns and 4x2 trucks abandoned by the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) during the evacuation from Dunkirk; graves of German and French soldiers killed during the 1940 Campaign in France; German horse drawn transport on the move in France; German troops outside the ruins of the Hotel de Flandre; the positioning of 'hedgehog' beach defences on the French coast (possibly Pas de Calais), these show French civilian labourers with members of Organisation Todt using horse drawn implements to level sand on the beach in preparation for placing the defences. There is also a Royal Navy official photograph, taken on 16 September 1960, showing the wreck of HMS HARDY at Narvik.
