Collection: MINISTRY OF DEFENCE POST 1945 OFFICIAL COLLECTION
Black and white negatives and contact prints, together with some standard prints taken by official photographers of British Army forces serving with the BAOR based at Verden, Germany, 1961 - 1992. Photographs mainly taken for public relations purposes showing daily life in the Army, also inspections, training, exercises etc.
Duxford (Bay 24): 12 grey boxes of c 14400 contact prints with some caption information, plus some full size prints with captions, covering 1961-1970; 3 boxes of duplicate prints.
Duxford (Bay 21): 22 brown archive boxes of c 30600 contact prints with very little caption information covering 1974-1979 & 1982-1992. From 1983 onwards the negatives are stored with the contact prints.

1962: Coverage includes Exercise Desert Rat, visit by Larry Adler, sporting activities and the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment at Rothenburg.
1964: Coverage includes Exercise Eternal Triangle.
1965: Coverage includes visits by HM Queen Elizabeth II and by HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
1972: Coverage includes Exercise White Arrow and Exercise Gaelic Holiday.
