Collection: HANSON GORDON EDWARD (LIEUTENANT)

Copy negatives made from photographs relating to the service of Gordon Edward Hanson as a Lieutenant commanding 'D' Troop, 'B' Squadron of the 5th Australian Light Horse in Egypt and Palestine, 1916-1917. The photographs include a portrait of Hanson, camps and activities such as watering horses in the Sinai Desert. Also Turkish General Musa Kiasim Pasha, who was taken prisoner by 'D' Troop on 26 March 1917, during the lead up to the 1st Battle of Gaza.
