No previous experience necessary. Age 18 to 25. Selected Men trained as Mechanicians for duty as Engine-room Watchkeeepers. Free kit on
joining. Prospect of advancement to Warrant Rank.

Ship's Cooks.
Young men, 18 to 23, entered and trained as Cooks and Bakers. Free kit on joining. Prospect of advancement to Warrant Rank.
Sick Berth Ratings.
Young Men, 18 to 22, entered for training. Free kit to accepted Probationers. Prospect of advancement to Warrant Rank.

Men from 18 to 25 entered for training as Seamen and Stokers for not more than 5 years' service afloat, followed by service in the Royal
Fleet Reserve to complete 12 years.
Men specially recommended are allowed to transfer to Continuous Service System.
