This small decorative Christmas medal by Goetz (1875-1950) includes a portrait of Feldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg
(1847-1934), overall commander of German forces on the Eastern Front at the end of 1915. The second Christmas of the war is commemorated in
the reverse design by the second lighted candle on the fir sprig and the reverse text is translated as 'Christmas in the field 1915'. See
