Initial scenes show convoy of vehicles on the roadside, gathering before advance; jerricans are loaded into the back of a Land Rover. Members of 40 Commando's Brigade Patrol Troop on vehicle patrol; camera position is on top cover of WMIK, behind the gunner; after passing a large abandoned industrial installation, the patrol advances through Abu Al-Khasib; local people wave. The patrol checks a large building behind wire fence, possibly Ba'ath Party headquarters; there is a burnt-out car before the main gate. As the advance continues, the gunner remains prepared. Goats roaming by the roadside. Patrol continues through narrow alleyways and through the centre of town, which is deserted and semi-derelict. Young man cycles past. Driving out of the town onto the main road.
