Part 1: United News main titles. 'Moscow pact a triumph for United Nations'; at an airstrip various dignitaries are greeted including Anthony Eden. A Soviet guard of honour. The grounds of Spiridonovka House at the Kremlin with delegates in conversation. The conference table with delegates (Molotov for the USSR, Secretary of State Cordell Hull for the United States, Anthony Eden for Britain, Foo Ping-sheung for Republic of China) signing the agreement. A Douglas C-54 Skymaster with splash 'Washington, D.C.' The American delegate, Cordell Hull, returns and addresses camera. He is greeted first by his wife and then by President Roosevelt.

Part 2: 'Nation honors US Marines on 168th birthday'; shots of posters depicting heroic Marine actions. An American flag is paraded past Congress, Commandant of the Marine Corps Lieutenant-General Thomas Holcomb at the saluting base. Marines marching past. Dissolve to Guadalcanal; a US flag is raised. Back at Congress the same flag is handed over and then hoisted over the Capitol building.
