20 BRIGADE IN TRAINING, GERMANY, SENNELAGER, FEBRUARY-MARCH 2006 [Allocated Title]
Units of 20 Brigade take part in PDT (pre-deployment training) at Sennelager Ranges, prior to departing for Iraq as part of Operation Telic VIII.
(Tape 1) Members of 35 Engineer Regiment undertake urban training. Interviews with various members of the unit. Crowd control drills in "Tin City", a mock-up of a small town, where the troops are attacked by an angry crowd (dressed in Middle Eastern clothing). (8 February 2006)
(Tape 2) Members of the Queen's Royal Hussars take part in SIMPRESS (simulated press interviews. Further crowd control drills in "Tin City", where the Hussars are attacked by an angry crowd. Note that the ground is covered in snow, despite the fact that it is early spring. (2 March 2006)
