Scenes on board the Chinook helicopter used by MERT as it flies over the desert: flares are fired (seen through rear door). On the ground, Lieutenant Colonel Ian Nesbit describes the preparations made on the helicopter prior to the picking up of casualties, and discusses the "nine liner" medical report which is received prior to a medical evacuation. He puts on his helmet as the Chinook's engine's start up, and copntinues to describe the procedures, raising his voice above the noise of the engines. Medical equipment is secured into place.
