A Royal Air Force Douglas Dakota transport aircraft, serial FD879, taxiing on an airfield; its nose is marked with four dark bars with white between. A civil dignitary, probably Sir Henry Monck-Mason Moore, followed by his wife, disemplane and are greeted by a naval officer. A guard of honour is inspected. A line up of senior officers and civilians by the aircraft, another civilian man accompanies the new arrival. Moore speaks with a naval officer. Departing by car. On the airfield; guard of honour slopes arms. Party of civilians and officers with the plane behind. Camera pans with Moore and the other civilian man as they walk to their cars. Cars departing. Aircraft arriving and taxiing. Party disemplaning. Inspecting the guard of honour. Walking to meet the line up of civilians and officers.
