I. Various scenes showing Royal Marines in Zodiac inflatable boats alongside airboats (with rear-mounted fans) of the Department of Border Enforcement approaching fishermen in their boats on the marshes; the meetings are cordial. RM and DBE on the open water. Captain Lewis (OC of the Combat Camera Team) gives a brief piece to camera. Boats return to the makeshift dock. Interviews with members of the Royal Marines (all from 539 Assault Squadron): Captain Laurie Eve, Marine Carl Coppack, Corporal Dave Lewis and Marine Dale House.

II. At their temporary camp near the Iranian border, members of the Queen's Royal Lancers receive their mail and read their letters; medic reads a newspaper. Interview with Lance Corporal Craig Circuit of B Squadron. Sunset shots, and birdlife on the marshes. General views of the camp as twilight nears. Further sunset shots, plus a view of the moon. Next day: Marines relax and share shisha with members of the DBE. Merlin helicopter flies over the marshes and lands nearby. Views on board the Merlin helicopter in flight showing the marshes below. Views of rear gunner and further views of the marshes, including a shot of an Arab village. Shots of cockpit, helicopter interior and side gunner, interspersed with further ground views; chaff is fired (and is briefly reflected in the gunner's visor). More ground shots, including aerial views of Basra Air Station. Final cockpit view shows the Air Traffic Control tower in the distance as the helicopter approaches.
