I. Queen's Royal Lancers on patrol. View from the rear of a WMIK Land Rover (with mounted rear gun) driving through the marsh areas; shots of gunner and of other WMIKs driving alongside. WMIKs manoeuvre on track and park up. Commanders walk towards reeds and back towards camera (staged). WMIKs move off again; they drive toward a fort near the Iranian border manned by the DBE. Various views around temporary QRL camp and Iraqi fort. Interviews with Members of B Squadron the Queen's Royal Lancers: Major Charles Bull (OC), Staff Sergeant Gary Moulds, Corporal Kevin Hough and Trooper Andy Freer. Members of the QRL and the DBE relax and share snuff; they also smoke from a shisha. The shisha is recharged with fresh tobacco. Back at camp, soldiers relax (one smokes a pipe) and make bracelets from cord.

II. Royal Marines (539 Assault Squadron) in the marshes. Views of RM Zodiac inflatable boats setting off: they make their way slowly through the reeds. On the open water, local fisherman paddles by. Various shots of the Zodiacs alongside airboats (with rear-mounted fans) of the DBE as they make their way across the open water of the marshes.
