Scenes from Operation Nile, a search and arrest operation on a suspect house in Basra City.
Warrior armoured vehicle makes its way through the streets of Basra (shot from top cover of moving Land Rover). Scenes on camera-vehicle: top gunner, view through windscreen. Image intensifier night shots: Warrior parked at roadside. Soldiers move towards target house in line. On arrival, they set up a ladder on the outside wall and climb over. The door is opened and they move inside, where they surprise the occupants, forcing the owner of the house to sit on the floor while a search takes place. Women and children gather in a room downstairs; other men in the house are detained and held under guard. Search of the house begins; various weapons and ammunition are retrieved, along with mobile phones, photographs, documents and other items. These are all inventoried and bagged. Search continues. Arrestees are blindfolded, restrained and photographed before being taken away.
