At Bangkok, capital of Siam (Thailand), Dutch civil internees arrive after having been evacuated from Java in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia).

Wide shot of the docks at Bangkok with a milling crowd; Landing Craft Infantry (Large) (LCI(L)) 270 (?) is berthed. Sailors tying up. Dutch internees (women and children) on deck. Interned Japanese personnel position a wooden gangplank and internees disembark. Internees walk along the quayside to a warehouse to await transport. A Dutch officer directs people. More internees walk to the warehouse; some officers amongst them are possibly wearing 'RAPWI' (Recovery of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees) armbands. Japanese troops carrying luggage. More internees disembark. Two British officers watch; one has parachute wings on his jacket and is probably a gunner, the other probably a brigadier.
