General Sir Henry Maitland Wilson arrives at Heliopolis Aerodrome, Cairo from Baghdad in a Lockheed Hudson to take up his new duties.

The plane taxies up. The General steps out of the plane and is greeted by General J Steele, Deputy Chief of the General Staff; Lieutenant-General W G Lindsell, Administration; Brigadier C F Forestier-Walker, Liaison Officer, Paiforce; Colonel C Cornwall-Jones, Military Assistant and Mr G B Baker, Secretary to the Minister of State. The General enters his car and drives away.
