Object description
A Navy Instructional film to explain the effect of use of nuclear weapons in battles at sea. Bombs exploded at different heights above the sea and under the sea are examined and the stages that follow detonation in each scenario are shown. The types of radiation that follow are explained and the spread and type of damage to ships and men discussed. Measurement of post blast levels of radiation and basic steps to be taken to minimise exposure are shown.
