(Tape 1) (i) General views of HMS Edinburgh berthed in Kuwait City. Gibbs Range, Kuwait: abandoned Iraqi tank, and Challenger tank firing into the desert. (ii) Aerial views of ammunition dumps (?) and other structures on the edge of the Kuwaiti desert, and views of a more shambolic camp (possibly ex-Iraqi). (iii) Aerial views of Kuwait City and Ash-Shuwaykh: ships include a Linea Messina cargo vessel. Camera-helicopter lands on HMS Edinburgh. Interview with pilot. (iv) Kuwaitis, including women and children, come on board Edinburgh. Kuwaiti official is presented with ship's crest on a plaqu. Crew mix with Kuwaiti soldiers; chidren climb into back of Lynx. Captain signs autographs for visitors.

(Tape 2) HMS Edinburgh pulls away from quayside (camera position on board ship). British ambassador (?) on board with Kuwaiti officers; they watch a fire drill and are shown the Lynx helicopter. Rapid roping display from Lynx in the air - simulated raid in which "prisoners" are taken on foredeck.

(Tape 3) Coachloads of children arrive at dockyard to visit the ship; one wears a "Kuwait is Free" t-shirt. They are greeted by soldiers and taken on board to explore: some climb into the helicopter. Interview with crewman Ian Jeffrey Bank (?) about the visit to Kuwait. Children leave the ship and are given gifts and flowers. Interviews with crewman Paul Chappleton (?) about experiences patrolling the Gulf, and how Edinburgh and her crew are ready for any Iraqi activity, Midshipman Robbie Hamilton talks about his family and the current situation; Able Seaman Ramsey and Weapons Engineer Simon Paxford are interviewed together about their trip to the Gulf and life on board. Crew sing "Rule Britannia".

(Tape 4) Interview with Lieutenant Peter Gardner who explains the vist of the children - they are all children of people who lost their lives or were prisoners of war during the Iraqi invasion; the trip had been organised by the crew of HMS Edinburgh.

(Tape 5) General views of Kuwait city including ruined buildings of various kinds. Kuwaiti Towers seen in the distance. Tank monument by roadside (Jahra Gate ?). Buildings under reconstruction. The Al Salam Hotel, based inside a cruise ship and now a ruined shell after the war.
