I. HA as tray of 6-inch shells is taken up from hold of ammunition ship - the hold is packed with large calibre shells and charges. Crane lifts a 14-inch shell.

II. Sequence showing the stowage of small arms ammunition. Onshore, men move crates from a canvas covered dump onto the back of a lorry. Cut back to ship and CUs of winchman and mate. Ship's crane takes up SAA (small arms ammunition) crates from lorry on quayside - in the background, another ship is also loading. LA as cargo net comes down into the ship's hold - one of the crates has broken open, and belts of ammunition spill out. Men stow the crates, supervised by Sub-Lieutenant, RNVR. A second net is lowered containing AP in crates of 1,000 rounds. Cut back to the onshore dump as men load incendiary ammunition onto lorry.
