Reel One. Spray from the bows is thrown up over the deck. HA aft across the flightdeck, past the mirror landing sight to sea beyond, covered in white-caps. HA again to the forward deck park as two men run out to check the chains securing one of the Vixens and to prepare an additional lashing. Reel Two. MS to the underside of Vixen 216 on catapult as the shuttle moves forward to tension the bridle - the aircraft is armed with Firestreak missiles. 212 straightens its wings. Pilot deplanes from 208. 216 lands on. A protective cap is put over the IR head of a Firestreak on a parked aircraft. Vixen 216 is disarmed, the missile being lowered from the underwing pylon onto a trolley and pushed off along the deck. 213 taxies past. MSs of one of the missiles secured on armourer's trolley, and of a range of Sea Vixens about to be armed. 213 taxies to a catapult. A Firestreak is winched up from its trolley onto a pylon on 211 - men struggle to align the missile correctly.
