Ships of the Mediterranean Fleet visit the scene of the Gallipoli landings of the First World War.
HM Ships pass through Dardanelles to site of Gallipoli landings. Admiral Sir Guy Grantham (CINCMED) goes ashore to meet General Toron and inspects lower cemetery (where British graves are situated). Main memorial site: Admiral Grantham and Turkish officer lay wreaths at the foot of the memorial. Party walks round memorial; officers of HMS Sheffield examine slabs commemorating Naval fallen and their ships. HMS Sheffield and HMS Surprise anchored off Gallipoli Point.
