Vice Admiral Fife delivers an opening address before presenting bouquets to wives of three of the men (Captain Jay, Commander Kiggell and Captain Pounds). Presentations are made: Commander Edgar G D Pounds RM (3 Commando Brigade receives the Bronze Star Medal; Commander Launcelot Kiggell RN (Fleet Aviation Officer to C-in-C Mediterranean), Colonel Theodore Podger RN (Commanding Officer of HMS Seffield) and Captain Allan D H Jay (Flag Caprain to the Flag Officer Malta) all receive Legion of Merit. C-in-C Med Admiral Sir Guy Grantham gives a vote of thanks to Vice-Admiral Fife; latter poses with decorated officers and their wives.
