Torpedo is prepared and loaded into tube on board a German capital ship. Broadside views of Gneisenau at sea. Arado Ar 196 floatplane is catapulted off to reconnoitre. On board either Scharnhorst or Gneisenau with two triple turrets visible. Kapitän zur See Meisel Arado Ar 196 with seahorse emblem of Bordfliegergruppe 196 lands alongside ship and is lifted aboard by crane. Voyage continues through heavy seas then guns fire at "heavily armed British merchantman". Direct hit causes an explosion. Crew of a second enemy merchantman are rescued in heavy seas from a lifeboat before their ship is sunk by capital ship firing tracer.
